Do I get an SSL certificate?

in Hosting and Security
Yes, we include the first 12 months for FREE with your Ozcart plan. SSL is then charged per year, tax included, for annual renewals as seen in our fees page. The certificate will be applied sitewide and show the padlock with your domain name on checkout.

SSL is the encryption method for protecting communications between the browser and the website, or the browser and the payment provider. An SSL certificate is a piece of software installed on the web server to validate that the website URL providing the communications is an authentic one – when a certificate is active on a connection, the padlock shows in the browser URL so that your website visitors know that communications are encrypted. Only recognised global security companies can issue these certificates.

The SSL certificate included with Ozcart may be issued by the third party security companies Comodo, cPanel, GeoTrust, or others. These protect your specific domain name on checkout and in your store administration panel.

Advanced SSL certificates (which include options like live validators to show on your website or higher warranty levels) can be quoted by us on request.
